Students and colleagues,

Good morning, my name is Michael Kowalski and I am your Clemson MBA Student
Association VP of Communications for the Spring 2014 semester. On behalf of
our Student President, Wendi Witek and our Board, I will be posting one
email a week with announcements and information about the MBA-SA, our
events, schedule, programs, and ideas over the semester.

You will only get ONE email from me a week. It is my intent to send it in
conjunction with Jamie Patterson.

OrgSync is a college/university based network that serves as a bulletin
board, online forum, information sharing, and collaborative planning event
site is maintained by Clemson University. The MBA program has a page within
OrgSync for the sole use of our program. Why is this important??

OrgSync will connect you now and KEEP you connected to the MBA program long
after you graduate. You will not get MBA emails or even have your
clemson.edu mailing address forever. But you WILL have OrgSync access for
the rest of your life.

We are overhauling our page now and are opening registration at the link
below. You will also get an invite via your clemson.edu address. If you

*Philanthropy*

The MBA-SA has partnered to volunteer with Annie's House (a Sustaining Way
non-profit) in the past, and they have reached out and asked us to help
promote/encourage attendance at a big fundraising event on Saturday, Feb
1st at 12:00pm. The purpose is to raise money for emergency heating and
weatherization. The MBA-SA will have a presence and hopes to see you too!
This is a great way to build rapport with the community and earn some
volunteer experience for your resume. If you are interested in volunteering
contact Lesley Horton (lesleybhorton at gmail.com) for more information.

*Social*

Soby's Restaurant on main and the MBA-SA are teaming up for a great cause.
On Thursday, February 27th, the MBA-SA will be 'guest bar tending' to raise
money for Greenville charities. We are looking for 6 volunteers from the
program to bar tend and a strong MBA crowd to enjoy some adult beverages.
Soby's will donate 20% of all sales to charity and the guest bartenders
will receive a $25 gift card. Contact Carolina Aneskievich (caneski@
clemson.edu) or Lesley Hortron (lesleybhorton at gmail.com) if you're
interested.

*Town Hall*

John Aguirre, the MBA-SA First Year rep will be hosting a
Full-Time/Part-Time/Non-Degree Seeking Student town hall at the ONE
Building on Monday February 3rd, at 5:00pm. Everyone is welcomed to come
and learn about the MBA-SA, our goals for the semester and our events. You
will also be able to express your thoughts about the program and your
concerns, needs, and comments as a student body. The MBA-SA will collect
your comments and present them the MBA staff the following week. Dinner and
refreshments will be available.

*Text Book Exchange*

Thank you to everyone who participated in the MBA-SA text book exchange
this year. If you dropped off a book, please stop by Sydney Wyatt's office
(738) at ONE building to pick your money and/or collect your book from 11-5
on Tuesday, 10-4 on Thursday and from 10-2 on Friday of next week.
