Just a friendly reminder that the university will be closed and there will be no class on Monday, January 20th. It is a University Holiday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Networking Forum- February 21
Please save the date for our annual Networking Forum. It will take place the morning of February 21. This is our yearly event where students will have one on one 10 minute interviews with area companies that are looking to hire and meet you. I will be sending out information on how to RSVP as well as the list of companies in early February so you will have an idea of who you will get the opportunity to meet.

MBA Ethics Case Competition
Please see the attached announcement for the 2014 Clemson MBA Ethics Case Competition. The event will be held at Greenville One on Thursday, March 6 from 5:00-8:30pm.
Three teams of three MBA students will compete. Each team will have 15 minutes to present their response to a case, followed by 10-15 minutes of questions from the judges and other observers. A scoring rubric will be used and the judges will be representatives from various organizations around the Greenville Business Community.
Participating MBA students/team members will have the opportunity to attend, be introduced and to assist Linda Gallicchio (from the Rutland Institute) in an interactive “Ethics Day” presentation at the Rotary Club of Greenville. This is one of the best places to meet leading executives in the Greenville community, and is a great networking opportunity. Prizes will also be awarded to the winning team.
Dr. Wueste from the Rutland Institute will host a practice session for all participating teams during lunch on February 20 .

$100K ACC Clean Energy Challenge<http://www.accnrg.org>
Clemson University teams are being sought for the $100K ACC Clean Energy Challenge<http://www.accnrg.org>, supported by the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE)<http://www.eere.energy.gov/>, inviting business plans with commercialization potential in the clean energy space, including projects related to renewable energy, energy efficiency improvements and advanced fuels/vehicles.
Teams may consist of undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and industry personnel, but at least 50% of the formal team members (defined as though involved in the incorporation of the business) must be students enrolled in U.S. universities and colleges.
The winning Clemson University team will advance to the final round March 25-26 at the University of Maryland.
The overall winner of the ACC Clean Energy competition will receive a $100,000 prize and compete in the DOE National Clean Energy Business Plan Finals in Washington, D.C., in summer 2014.
Key deadlines:
February 14 – Executive summary and video pitch due
February 28 – Winning Clemson team announced
March 25-26 – Southeastern competition at University of Maryland

NEW CLASSROOM NUMBERS!
Please find the new classroom assignments attached. The majority of the classrooms have been moved so it is VERY IMPORTANT that you look at the new room numbers so you know where to go next week for class. We will also have this posted on each floor near the elevator for your convenience next week.
PawPrints Printer Is Now Online
The PawPrints printer located in the computer lab, Room 612, is now online and working. All students may print to this printer from anywhere in the building. If printing for the first time, please see the printer install guide located on the MBA IT Support page<http://www.clemson.edu/cbbs/departments/mba/documents/ithelp/Installing%20and%20Using%20the%20PawPrints%20Printer.pdf>. There are currently no desktop systems for use in Room 612; please bear with us as we complete the setup of the computer lab.
Accounting Tutors
Two students from the Master of Accounting program will be available to tutor MBA students on Monday and Thursdays from 4-6:30pm in Conference Room 7B. If you are interested in a tutor, you can just show up. No need to make an appointment. They will be able to tutor for both MBA 819 and MBA 854.
Greenville Rec- Volunteer Event
Volunteers are needed to help with the St. Patty’s Day Dash & Bash 5K presented by Zaxby’s and powered by Jarden on Saturday, March 15. Not only is this the most fun running event in Greenville, it is also a huge fundraiser for our Camp Spearhead program, as well as, Let There Be Mom and Make a Wish. Camp Spearhead is a camp we run for youth and adults with special needs and disabilities. The race will begin and end at the Drive Stadium downtown.
Please, Please, Please consider volunteering to help with this great event that will raise much needed money for 3 great charities.
