The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) at the University of Washington invites outstanding faculty candidates to apply for a full-time (100% FTE) tenure-track/tenured faculty position (9-month service periods).  We are seeking excellent candidates in Human Factors and Ergonomics with strong quantitative backgrounds. We are primarily focused on hiring at the rank of Assistant Professor, although candidates with exceptional credentials may be considered for appointments at the Associate Professor level.

Applicants must have a PhD or foreign equivalent in industrial engineering, systems engineering or a related field by the date of appointment, and excellent communication skills.  All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.  The successful applicant will be expected to provide innovative, high-quality teaching; engage in collaborative research; complement the department’s research areas; develop a vigorous, funded research program; and contribute to the goals and missions of the department, college, and university. This position is contingent on budgetary approval.
