[Iefac.list] 2015 IIE-CIS Mobile App Competition - proposal submission deadline extended

Dear Colleagues,

The deadline to submit a two-page proposal to participate in the 3rd Annual IIE-CIS Mobile App Competition has now been extended to Friday, November 14th. Consequently, notices of proposal acceptance will be sent out to teams on Monday, November 24th.

Please encourage your students to participate in this competition. As stated before, participating teams will have approximately six months to develop their mobile app. The winners of the competition will be announced in the IIE-CIS Town Hall meeting to be held at the 2015 ISERC in Nashville, Tennessee (May 30th -- June 2nd 2015).

Please refer to the attached PDF file for more detailed information, such as competition schedule, eligibility of participants, competition scope, evaluation process, etc. The following are some critical dates:

November 14, 2014: Extended deadline for submission of two-page proposal.
November 24, 2014: Notices of proposal acceptance sent via email.
February 16, 2015: Deadline for submission of prototype mobile app and mobile app documentation.
March 6, 2015: Notification to finalist teams sent via email.
May 30 ~ June 2, 2015: Final competition and awards ceremony.
