The Industrial & Management Engineering program at Montana State
University has funding available for several GTA and GRA positions. For
more information about the program, including the admissions process,
please visit our website at www.coe.montana.edu/ie/gradprog.

Our graduate program is designed to accommodate a variety of students
with a diversity of interests. Students may emphasize human factors
engineering <http://www.coe.montana.edu/ie/gradprog/HFMasters.pdf>
(ergonomics, biomechanics, transportation system safety, usability
engineering), management engineering (organization theory, lean systems,
healthcare systems design), or systems analysis / operation research
(mathematical and computer modeling, optimization, planning and
scheduling, decision support systems). Students can also select courses
for graduate training in multiple areas of industrial engineering.

Our small but vibrant program offers the quality of education afforded
at many larger name schools, with the one-on-one mentoring and personal
interaction that only a small program can offer. This lets us tailor
graduate programs to the background, interests, and goals of each
student.

Students interested in learning more about opportunities for IE graduate
work at Montana State should contact the IE graduate program
coordinator, Dr. Nicholas Ward, at nward at ie.montana.edu.

Sincerely,

Durward K. Sobek II, Ph.D.
