The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professor positions to begin in August 2024.  Applicants should be able to teach a broad range of courses in manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering with primary responsibilities in one of the following areas:



1. Advanced manufacturing systems and technologies: The candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of classes in manufacturing engineering areas; the candidate’s research will focus on advanced manufacturing engineering systems and technologies.



2. Artificial Intelligence and machine learning with application in manufacturing engineering: The candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of classes in both industrial engineering and manufacturing engineering areas; the candidate research will focus on AI and machine learning with applications in various areas including manufacturing engineering.
