[IISE Faculty List] Announcing the 2022-2023 Material Handling Capstone Design Competition - First place Student Teams win $2000 in cash prizes.

The Material Handling Industry (MHI) and the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) is pleased to announce the 2022-2023 Capstone Design Competition is now open.  Details are attached and can be found here: https://www.mhi.org/cicmhe/competition

The purpose of the competition is to recognize outstanding material handling applications and encourage student interest in the material handling industry.   Thanks to generous MHI sponsorship, monetary prizes (to be shared among the students on the winning teams) of $2000, $1000, and $500 will be awarded to first, second, and third place teams, respectively. Outstanding submissions will also be recognized at MHI events.

The submission process has been specifically designed to not be too much additional work beyond what is required in your program’s capstone.

Submissions accepted on or before May 20, 2023, at https://www.mhi.org/cicmhe/competition  (to submit an application a faculty member first must register on the website and we encourage you to do this prior to the deadline).  If your university has a semester end date after the submission deadline, please make sure to register by May 20, 2023 and email the co-chairs to request a submission extension.

Please forward this announcement to your colleagues who work with capstone projects.  Design project work in material handling or supply chain that was completed by undergraduate or master’s level enrolled students within the 2022-2023 academic year are eligible.
