Dear ISE Faculty and Student,

Apologies for re-posting the announcement! There were minor typos in the
previous post that have been corrected in this post.

Do you know an undergraduate student performing Operations Research related
work? Please encourage them to submit their work for the *Operations
Research Division Undergraduate Student Research Dissemination Award*, a
competition featuring cash prizes held annually at the IISE Annual
Conference.

The purpose of the award is to recognize scholarly work as well as ability
to effectively communicate results from an undergraduate student or student
team. The application process will consist of a paper and a presentation.
The paper must be formatted according to the IISE Annual Conference
guidelines; however, it is not required that the paper is submitted to the
conference – it needs only to be submitted to the competition. The first
author (and the presenter) *must be* an undergraduate student. Graduate
student team members are encouraged but their contributions should not be
that of a first author. The paper and presentation must present original
research, the research must have been conducted while the applicant was a
student, and the paper and presentation must not have won or been
considered for an award in another competition.

The application process will follow the timeline of the proceedings paper
submissions. Abstracts are due by *November 11th, 2022*. To be considered
for the competition, applicants must email their abstract ID and title to
the OR Division Awards Director, Talayeh Razzaghi
(talayeh.razzaghi at ou.edu), stating
that they wish to be considered. More competition details will be sent once
their abstract is accepted. Accepted abstracts must submit their proceeding
papers through the submission site for the IISE Annual Conference & Expo
2023. The paper submission is currently due *January 20th, 2023, *and the
paper should be sent to the awards director directly.
