Dear Colleagues:

A few month ago, I reached out to the former EICs of IISE Transactions and invited them to share their thoughts and perspectives in a special section of the journal. Attached please find my invitation letter.

The first article of this nature, entitled "Back to the future—IIE Transactions 1988," is contributed by Dr. Al Soyster, the 6th EIC of IISE Transactions (1989-1992).  The article will be published in the February 2023 issue of IISE Transactions (vol 55, No 2, pp. 107-110) and is now available online https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/24725854.2022.2116508.  The publisher granted free access of this article for 12 months.
