Call for Abstracts & Papers

2021 IISE Annual Conference & Expo

Palais des Congrès de Montréal, Montreal, Canada

May 22 – May 25, 2021

*Data Analytics & Information Systems Track*

Dear colleagues,

The *Data Analytics & Information Systems (DAIS) Division* of the
Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) is sponsoring the
*Data Analytics & Information Systems Track* at the 2021 IISE Annual
Conference & Expo. The conference is a forum for exchanging knowledge
and discoveries by academicians and practitioners. The 2021 IISE Annual
Conference & Expo will continue to integrate research and industry
applications under one conference.

As track chairs of the Data Analytics & Information Systems, we
encourage you to submit a 250-word abstract to our track via the online
submission system. *Abstract submission is expected to open on September
27, 2020*. Abstracts that are accepted for oral presentation will be
available on the conference website and can be cited. Authors can claim
them as refereed abstracts. These abstracts will not be copyrighted or
indexed in the conference proceedings. Abstracts are welcome in areas
such as

·Energy Systems Modeling (Energy capital investments and Energy
operations interface)

·Network Science and Complex Systems

·Data Analytics and Statistical Learning

·System Informatics and Optimal Control

·Smart and Interconnected Automation Systems

·Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

·Decision Support System

Authors of abstracts that are accepted for oral presentation will
present their work in a conference session. Regular sessions will be 80
minutes and include up to four presenters. There are also opportunities
to organize special sessions (e.g., tutorials, panels, workshops). *If
you are interested in organizing such a session, please contact the
track chairs by November 15, 2020*. Authors of these abstracts will be
encouraged to submit (via the online system) an optional six-page paper
for double-blind peer review for the conference proceedings. These
papers should contain methods and results that are significant and have
archival value. All accepted papers will be copyrighted and indexed in
the conference proceedings via ProQuest. /We will also hold a best track
paper competition. All authors of the six-page papers will be
automatically given the opportunity to participate in this competition
without having to publish that paper in the proceedings and thus without
releasing its copyright./

If your abstract is accepted for presentation, the presenting author
must register for the conference. Otherwise, the presentation will be
withdrawn from the program. If such a withdrawn presentation is
associated with an accepted six-page paper for the proceedings, that
paper will also be removed. The presenting author must attend and
present the work in a session at the conference. We request that authors
be ready to review other papers in the track.
