Dear Colleagues,
I hope this email finds you well. Due to the uncertainties created by the
pandemic, the Professional Master's Program in Industrial Engineering has
reopened its application process for Fall 2020. The application deadline is
July 1.
Would you please share this email with your students? Interested students
can email <mailto:mie at rice.edu> mie at rice.edu for additional information
Professional Master's in Industrial Engineering (MIE) is a new
inter-disciplinary program at Rice University that started in September
2019. Rice University's School of Engineering is top-ranked for its
education and research programs. MIE is a non-thesis degree that focuses on
how sophisticated data-driven decision models can be used in the design,
analysis, optimization and management of complex systems. The program
prepares students to work in a wide range of professional settings such as
consulting, health care, energy, manufacturing, and logistics. Our students
will benefit from being located in Houston; nation's energy capital, world's
largest medical center and greatest provider of manufacturing jobs in
America.
The program has small classes that serve only master's students. The
courses involve real-life industry-based projects, and the students have
internship opportunities in the companies located in the greater Houston
area. For additional information about the program, please visit

Sincerely,
Eylem Tekin
