You are invited to nominate papers for the 2020 ENRE Student Best Paper Award.

This award is given annually to a paper addressing energy, environmental, or natural resource issues authored by a student. All students (undergraduate, MS, Ph.D.) conducting research related to energy, environment, or natural resource issues (including theory, OR/MS methods, or applications) are encouraged to apply. Students do not need to be ENRE members to be eligible for the competition, however membership is encouraged. Publication of the paper is not a requirement. The submitted papers will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the Student Best Paper Award Committee of ENRE. The award includes an official certificate from INFORMS and $400 honorarium.
The winner will give a short presentation of the winning paper in the ENRE Awards Session during the 2020 INFORMS Annual Meeting. The student must register for the conference and will be responsible for the associated travel and registration expenses.
Eligibility requirements:
1) Student must be currently enrolled in a graduate/undergraduate program of a university.
2) Student must be the first author and main contributor of the paper, although faculty members or other mentors can be co-authors.
3) Student must be presenting a talk at the 2020 INFORMS Annual Meeting.
4) Student must not have received a previous ENRE Student Best Paper Award.
Application Process and Deadline:
Nominated papers must be submitted to Krystel Castillo (krystel.castillo at utsa.edu<mailto:krystel.castillo at utsa.edu>) by June 30, 2020. The nomination can be done via email and must include:
a) An electronic version of the paper [formatting requirements: 30 pages or less, double-spaced, with 11-point font and 1-inch margins all around.]
b) A letter from the mentor/supervisor/faculty co-author highlighting the contribution of the student in the paper.
