[Iefac.list] Three post-doctoral positions in optimization at Rice University

Applications are invited for up to three postdoctoral positions in the Computational and Applied Mathematics Department at Rice University. The positions are broadly in the area of operations research, and will work closely with Dr. Joey Huchette and/or Dr. Andrew Schaefer.

Position 1 is under the supervision of Joey Huchette with research in areas of mutual interest. Potential topic areas include mixed-integer programming, large-scale optimization, and applications in machine learning. Responsibilities of the position including the teaching of two undergraduate classes per year.

Position 2 is under the supervision of Andrew Schaefer, and the topic is to be determined based on mutual interest. Possible areas include stochastic optimization, integer programming, and/or various applications. Responsibilities of the position including the teaching of two undergraduate classes per year.

Position 3 is to under the supervision of both Joey Huchette and Andrew Schaefer. The position will work on an ONR-funded grant at the intersection of integer programming and deep learning. Strong candidates will have expertise in either or both subject area.
