Worldwide Health Economics and Outcomes Research(WWHEOR) Group at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) invites applications fortwo open positions at the Economic & Predictive Modeling Lead role. One ofthese open positions is within oncology and the other one is in cardiovasculardiseases/fibrosis.
BMS is a global biopharma company committed to a single mission:to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines focused on helpingmillions of patients around the world in disease areas such as oncology,cardiovascular, immunoscience and fibrosis.
In these positions candidates are expected to develop best inclass, innovative survival and economic modeling methodologies that will ensureoptimum access for BMS portfolio, and to act as a scientific leader to theWWHEOR and Value, Access & Pricing teams in the latest modelingmethodologies that optimizes the assessment of BMS products primarily inoncology and other therapeutic areas.
Candidates will also be responsible to partner with key BMSaffiliates to implement strategies to evolve local health technologyassessment (HTA) agency modeling methodology and to lead survival analyses, anddevelopment of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models in collaborationwith cross-functional local, regional and global teams with a focus on theglobal market needs.
In addition to strong verbal and written communication skills,candidates should possess strong academic writing skills for the disseminationof research results in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and academicjournals.
Applicants should have a doctorate degree (PhD) ineconomics, health economics, or related relevant discipline such asbiostatistics, epidemiology and operations research with 5-7 years of health economicsand outcomes research experience. Candidates should have demonstratedexperience of working with HTAs and other consumers of health economicinformation and be experienced in using Visual Basic, and other software suchas TreeAge Pro, C/C++, R, SAS, Stata, SPSS or WinBUGS for model development anddata analysis. Earlier experience or proficiency in interpreting clinicalstudies and internal clinical trial data, and conducting indirect treatmentcomparisons is a plus.
