[Iefac.list] Fwd: fORged-by-Machines Contest Update

 We are about a week away from the deadline of the Student Contest names
"fORged-by-Mahcines" announced a week ago. The latest FAQ is attached with
this message.   (The original announcement is also included).  Please share
with students who might have an interest.

To be precise, the deadline is 11:59 pm, October 12 (all times are
Pacific). The judges will choose the Finalists who will present their ideas
from 5-6 pm on Sunday October 20, at the INFORMS conference in Seattle.
These presentations can be either in person or via Skype.   For those in
Seattle, please plan on joining us in the Diamond Room of the Sheraton in
downtown Seattle (one of the hotels of the INFORMS Conference).   After the
presentations, the judges will choose a Winner, a Runner-up, and an
Honorable Mention.

The Awards themselves will be presented on Oct. 21, Monday evening of the
INFORMS Conference, during the INFORMS Computing Society Business Meeting,
which goes from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
