I would like to invite all students who are considering the academic career path or already in the academic job market this year to attend an interactive panel session on the "Academic Job Application and Interview Process" that I am organizing at the 2018 INFORMS Annual Meeting starting on Sunday. Panel Discussion on Academic Job Application and Interview Process
Location and Time: North Bldg 222C on November 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Moderator: Ahmed Aziz Ezzat, Texas A&M University
Panelists: Janis Terpenny (Penn State University); Rachel Cummings (Georgia Tech); Murat Yildirim (Wayne State University); and Mohammed Shafae (University of Arizona)
Description: This panel interactively discusses the academic job search process from how to position yourself well for the academic job market to how you can excel in on-site job interviews. The session brings together the perspective and experiences of faculty who have successfully went through the academic job search process in recent years and the perspective of faculty who are involved in reviewing job applications and making the hiring decisions. Time will also be provided for open questions and answers.
