The Engineering Systems Management (ESM) Program at American University of
Sharjah invites applications for a permanent faculty position at the
Professor and Associate Professor ranks starting Fall 2018. Applicants
must be willing to work in a collaborative environment and be committed to
pursuing excellence in research, teaching and advising graduate students
in the newly established doctoral program in ESM. We seek talented and
motivated candidates with a PhD in engineering management or a related
area with a focus on performance management and decision making.
Candidates with experience and expertise in other areas related to
engineering management will be considered.  Teaching experience in an
American model of higher education and/or in North American industry are
highly desirable, as is experience in advising doctoral students.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop a productive research
program and attract high-quality doctoral students to the new program. A
competitive start-up package and an appropriate research infrastructure
will be provided.

The ESM PhD program is the first of several doctoral programs planned over
the next few years, as AUS embarks on a major expansion of its research
and graduate programs with a projected investment of US$ 500M over the
