Dear colleagues,

I would like to introduce you a web platform, named as *I*ndustrial *E*
ngineering E*RA* (*IERA*), which was recently developed by my research
group: http://iera.name.

IERA is an interactive platform that can be used by IEs around the world to
introduce, share, and develop knowledge about Industrial Engineering. IERA
also provides IEs with a social network integrated within the website which
you can use to connect with peer IEs and other professional audiences
(e.g., students, industrial scientists, academic researchers, engineers,
and many others) from across the globe.

Through the IERA Forum, students can raise questions regarding course
materials, homework, research, software, etc. Unlike conventional
one-to-one learning scheme, i.e., teaching and learning is just between a
student and a professor, and only limited to specific course materials,
this IERA platform will provide a one-to-many and even many-to-many new
studying and learning scheme. All discussions on IERA can easily be shared
on social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. All registered
users can subscribe to the forum and main site (landing page) to receive
updates and discussions posted in IERA. Users can also receive an email
every day (“daily digest”) that summarizes all active topics in the forums
in the past 24 hours.

Unlike the INFORMS Forum serving IE researchers in the OR/MS field and
charging a membership fee, *IERA provides a home base for all IE people
globally with free lifetime services*.

*Joining and Using IERA is free and easy to do – just follow the link below
and start communicating with other IEs today! *

http://iera.name/register (You may also skip the registration process and
login with your existing social network account, e.g. Facebook, Twitter,
Google+, and LinkedIn).

*I would be greatly appreciated if you could forward this email and the
attached flyer to other faculty and undergraduate/graduate students at your
department.*

Thank you! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Prof.
Kaibo Liu at kliu8 at wisc.edu.

Best,
Kaibo
