The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for two tenure-track positions in its growing engineering program beginning August 2016. Candidates for these tenure-track positions should have earned Ph.D.s in engineering; industry experience and U.S. professional registration desired. ABD may be considered with Ph.D. completion anticipated by Fall 2016. Candidates from any engineering specialty may apply, but the department's greatest needs are in mechanical engineering, machine design, and manufacturing engineering. The incumbents will teach a variety of upper and lower division courses within USI's ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Engineering program including general freshman engineering. Experience in teaching introductory freshman engineering courses is desired. The current emphasis areas offered within the Engineering major are: mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, and mechatronics. Publication and engagement of undergraduate students in candidate's research activities are expected.
