I am writing to inform and invite you to two outstanding International IIE conferences this summer - one in Xian (China), and the other in Malaga (Spain).  Outside of the exotic location of these events, the conferences represent an exciting opportunity for you and your academic institutions to begin to develop global networks of collaborators and fellow academics.  Details of each conference are summarized below.  I strongly urge you to consider attending one or both the conferences.  Whether you are a junior faculty member exploring new collaborations or a mid-career or senior faculty member looking to expand your networks, I think you will find your time well spent.

XIAN, CHINA

The 4th IIE Asian Conference 2014 will be held in Xi'an, China on July 21-22, 2014. We are pleased to announce that the submission deadline has been extended to April 20.
Supported by IIE and ANIE (Asian Network for Industrial Engineers), the conference aims to share and disseminate, to all branches of industries, information on the most recent and relevant research, theories and practices in industrial and systems engineering. MALAGA, SPAIN

This year's International IIE Conference (IIIEC'2014) will be held July 23 to July 25 in the beautiful city of Málaga along the sunny Mediterranean coast of Spain.  Many of you might remember last year's international conference in Istanbul, Turkey, and this year's version promises to be just as exciting.

IIIEC'2014 will be held in conjunction with two other major conferences: the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management (CIO'2104) and the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (ICIEOM'2014). The former is organized by ABEPRO and the latter by ADINGOR - respectively, the professional societies for Industrial Engineering in Brazil and Spain.  The conference will be an integrated one and sessions will have a mix of presentations from academics and professionals affiliated with all three organizations, with great opportunities for networking and establishing international collaborations.  Full papers (up to 8 pages) as well as extended abstracts of presentations are being solicited. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and the deadline for submission is March 20, 2014.  IIE members can avail of the discounted rate by registering before the early registration deadline of May 15, 2014.
