Hello,

Please post the following post-doc opportunity:

IAHC Post-doctoral Fellow
Clemson University is proud to announce a strategic hiring initiative in health services research as part of its 2020 Road Map. Post-doctoral fellows are being hired to enable the development of the Clemson University partnership with the Greenville Health System (GHS) Clinical University. Fellows will benefit from both Clemson university faculty mentors and clinical mentors with the Greenville Health System. The model is designed to enhance Clemson’s capacity in health–related research as well as the emerging health services research initiatives at GHS. Fellows will embed within GHS and develop an agenda of health research which is informed and supported by the GHS system.
One of the post-doctoral fellows will be hired in the area of Quality Analytics. Areas of expertise should include the ability to analyze relevant data sets related to safety and quality management and improvement at GHS. In addition, the applicant should have expertise in analyzing process flows and identifying risk factors in the flow. The research is to be conducted with GHS staff in order to improve quality, increase safety and reduce costs. The evaluation methods used may include process analysis methods as well as statistical analysis.

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in public health, health services research, behavioral sciences, health professions, or closely related field. Interested applicants should submit a current curriculum vitae and a minimum of two references with full contact information. Electronic submissions (PDF files) are preferred. Applications and nominations can be mailed to Dr. Lawrence Fredendall at flawren at clemson.edu<mailto:flawren at clemson.edu>. Application materials must be received by December 1, 2013 to receive full consideration, although the search will remain open until the position is filled.
The Clemson 2020 Road Map provides significant investment in four strategic priorities (i) Enhance student quality and performance, (ii) provide engagement and leadership opportunities for all students, (iii) attract, retain and reward top people, and (iv) build to compete — facilities, infrastructure and technology. Clemson University is described by students and faculty as an inclusive, student-centered community characterized by high academic standards, a culture of collaboration, school spirit and a competitive drive to excel.
