Dear Colleagues,
This is a kind reminder that it is only one week from the deadline for
submitting your abstracts to the ISERC 2014 Quality Control and
Reliability Engineering Track. Please submit your abstracts at your
early convenience. The abstract submission link is:
https://www.xcdsystem.com/iie2014/abstract/index.cfm?ID=KX8A3Ka
You are also invited to organize sessions with presentations in the QCRE
related areas. Each session will last 75 minutes and have 3 or 4
presenters. If you plan to organize sessions, please send us the
temporary session titles. We will invite you as a session chair and you
will be able to invite speakers. Please feel free to let us know if you
have any questions.
Ten reasons (you can refine and edit them) to attend ISERC 2014:
oDisseminate research and socialize with colleagues (Receptions and Town
Hall meetings)
oParticipate in best paper award competitions
oPanel: Deans' views on interdisciplinary research opportunities for IEs
(Panelists: College Deans with IE background)
oPanels: Emerging frontiers in Energy, Health Care, Human Factors,
Manufacturing, Operations Research, Quality Control, and Supply Chain
Management (Panelists: top scholars in the field)
oPanel: Potential funding sources (Panelists: program officers from
different agencies. Possible officer office hours available)
o2014 Applied solution conference will be held parallel with ISERC 2014
(This is the first time). This provides much more opportunities for
academic researchers to interact with industry practitioners to explore
collaborations
oYoung Faculty Colloquium and Doctoral Colloquium (Young faculty and
Ph.D. students)
oJob fair for students (This will be the first time)
oNSF student travel grant support (Graduate students)
oMontreal, called "Canada's Cultural Capital", is a very beautiful city
to visitT
We look forward to seeing you in Montréal!
Regards,
*Susan Lu *and*Jian Liu*
