*Introduction*

Engineering projects are huge undertakings and require serious political
commitment, clear vision and robust long term strategy. In order to be
successful extensive planning, monitoring and evaluation of such projects
is of utmost importance. Most of these initiatives normally fail not due to
technical problems but due to management weaknesses often making them
delayed and over budget. In this book we aim to focus on this particular
area and aim to present theories and strategies to better manage
engineering projects.

* *

*Objective of the Book*

The aims are to give you practical as well as conceptual knowledge of the
latest methodologies, principles, practices, tools and technologies for
engineering management. The book will present state-of-the-art and future
perspectives of EM. Industry experts, researchers, and academicians will
share ideas and experiences regarding frontier technologies.

*Target Audience*

The target audience of this book will be designers of EM processes,
academician, students, practitioners, professionals and researchers working
in the field of engineering management. This book will be invaluable for
theoretical analysis, algorithms and practical applications of engineering
