Dear colleagues,
The International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEAE) is sponsoring the Multiple Automation Tracks at the 2012 Supply Chain Automation Conference and Expo (SCACE).
The SCACE (Pronounced S-CASE) is the new name for this Automation themed conference. This Annual Conference and Expo, is a forum for exchanging knowledge and discoveries in the international automation & robotics, manufacturing, and robotics community.

Registration Discount for Presenters
We are looking for timely and important contributions to the conference and the organizers are providing the following incentives:
1) A registration discount to those who are selected to present their accepted abstract to the conference.
2) An additional limited access Conference Pass to those who have an accepted full paper to the conference
3) An additional limited access Conference Pass to those who have are selected for the "Innovation" competition

Abstracts
Given this important and timely need for the conference we would like to encourage you to contribute to the conference by submitting an abstract.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present their work in SCACE sessions.
Generally each session will be approximately 75 minutes and have 3 or 4 presenters.

Aspects of these topics are highly suggested to be expanded:
Productivity
Safety
Costs
Quality
People

Peer reviewed proceedings
We encourage all presenters to submit a full length paper for the refereed conference proceedings (double-blind review). The papers should contain results that are significant and have archival value to the Automation, manufacturing, or robotics community; Full papers have a ten-page limit and will undergo a double-blind peer review process. All accepted papers are indexed by ProQuest.
-Best paper awards will be presented at the conference.

Presentations without papers
Presentations without a paper are acceptable, but will not be indexed in the published in the conference proceedings.

Business Summaries for the "Innovation" Team Competition
Given this important and timely need for this automation topic we are supporting an business innovation competition. This competition is similarly themed to television shows that highlight business ideas in which selected projects will be presented to a Venture Capital Group for competitive funding. The group of participants will be expected to submit a "1 page" executive summary describing their idea and budget request.
Teams with accepted summaries will be invited to present their work in a SCACE sessions and later in a closed door competition. Material presented publicly should be properly protected and copyrighted. Generally each team will be approximately 20 minutes to present their idea in the public session. Executive Summaries must be presented in the aforementioned topic areas to be considered.

The important deadlines for the conference are:
Abstract submissions: November 11, 2011
Notification: December 9, 2011
Submission of full papers (optional but encouraged): January 13, 2012
Notification of paper acceptance: February 24, 2012
Final version of full paper due: March 9, 2012
Presenting author registration deadline: December 16, 2011

If your abstract or paper is accepted: (a) you or a co-author must register for the conference by April 1, 2012 (presentations/papers without an author registered for the conference will be withdrawn from the program and the proceedings); (b) you or a co-author must attend and present the paper at the conference; and (c) we ask that you be ready to serve as a reviewer for fellow authors and follow review deadlines.

There are also opportunities to organize invited sessions, panels, or tutorials. In addition to research presentations, the annual conference offers many opportunities for attendees, including, plant tours, networking, and keynote speakers.
