Logistics Management at HKUST*


The Department invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at
Assistant Professor level.  Applicants should have a PhD degree in
Industrial Engineering or closely related disciplines, and a demonstrated
potential for excellent teaching and research. We are seeking candidates
with a solid methodological foundation in Statistics and Probability.
Individuals
with research interests in emerging and interdisciplinary areas, for example
(but not limited to) Healthcare, Energy and Environment, Engineering
Management, Engineering/Service Systems and Design, are particularly
encouraged to apply.  Specialization in Information Technology would be an
advantage.


The successful candidate is expected to develop a vigorous research program
and to teach courses in Applied Statistics, Information Technology, and the
general area of Industrial Engineering.

The Department currently has a strong group of researchers specializing in
Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and Design, Manufacturing & Quality.
 Located in the gateway to China and the most dynamic logistics hub of Asia,
the Department is expected to experience rapid growth.

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications
and experience.  Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical/dental
