Postdoc Opportunities:
Quality and Reliability Engineering Research



Rutgers University and Qatar University are collaborating on funded 
research effort to analyze the quality engineering and reliability of 
liquefied natural gas (LNG) systems. The quality engineering research 
deals with process monitoring and control and design of control 
systems (strategies and controller) to ensure the process performance 
at different stages of the LNG production process.  The reliability 
engineering research deals with degradation monitoring and modeling 
to anticipate failures and to improve reliability. The candidate for 
the quality engineering research should have a PhD in an applicable 
engineering discipline with a focus on quality engineering and 
control systems. The candidate for reliability engineering should 
have experience in one or more of the following areas: reliability 
modeling, statistical analysis of reliability data, degradation 
analysis and modeling, reliability centered maintenance (RCM), 
maintenance optimization, real-time automated data capture and 
analysis, system monitoring and testing, LNG systems. A proven record 
of journal publications is required.

The projects are funded by the Qatar National Research Foundation 
(QNRF) and they are being conducted by a partnership of Rutgers 
University, Piscataway, NJ, USA and Qatar University, Doha, Qatar. 
The positions will be located in Qatar. Excellent salary and benefits
