Assistant Professor Position in Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie
University

The Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University invites
applications for a 3-year limited term position at the Assistant Professor
level, from candidates with outstanding research and teaching abilities in
industrial engineering. 

The successful candidate is expected to have an earned doctorate in
industrial engineering or a closely related field. The selection criteria
include research interests in healthcare operational research and the
ability to collaborate with local hospitals to help improve their delivery
of healthcare services. The successful applicant should have a P.Eng
designation and experience working as an industrial engineering in hospital
settings. 

The teaching duties are expected to be at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels. The successful candidate should be able to teach courses in
basic industrial engineering (including work measurement and design),
simulation, and service industry optimization. The potential to develop a
course in healthcare operational research is a must. Please refer to
