Dear Colleagues,
Abstract submission deadline has been extended until November 19, 2010. If you were planning to submit your up to 200-word abstract(s), but were not able to do so until today, you now have few more days to make your submission. The Lean Systems Division of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) is sponsoring the Lean Systems Track of the Industrial Engineering Research Conference (IERC) - the research portion of the IIE Annual Conference 2011 that provides a forum for researchers to present their work.
As track chairs of the Lean Systems Track, we would like to encourage you to organize a session, submit a research paper, and/or propose a research presentation in traditional or emerging areas, such as:
*
Lean Manufacturing Systems
*
Lean Product Development
*
Lean Systems Design
*
Lean and Green Systems
*
Lean Six Sigma
*
Lean Government and Culture
*
Lean Healthcare Systems
*
Lean Performance Evaluation
*
Lean Systems Safety, Ergonomics and Reliability
*
Lean Value Chain Management
*
Lean Student Paper Competition
*
Lean Implementations in Industries
You are invited to present your work at one or more sessions. Each session will share 75 minutes among 3-4 presenters. The submission of full length papers (8 page limit, double-blind review) for the conference proceedings is strongly recommended. All accepted papers are indexed by ProQuest. Presentations without a paper are acceptable, but will not be indexed in the conference proceedings.
The important deadlines for the conference are:
Abstract submissions: November 19, 2010
Notification: December 10, 2010
Submission of papers (optional, but strongly encouraged): January 14, 2011
Notification of acceptance/declines of papers: February 25, 2011
Final paper due: March 11, 2011
Presenting author registration deadline: April 1, 2011
Abstracts are limited to 200 words
Abstract submission site: http://www.xcdsystem.com/iie/
Conference web site: www.iienet.org/annual<http://www.iienet.org/annual>
If your abstract/paper is accepted, we ask that: (a) you and/or a co-author register for the conference by April 1, 2011; (b) you and/or a co-author will attend and present the paper at the conference (papers without a presenting author registered for the conference will have their paper withdrawn from the proceedings); and (c) you are also willing to serve as a reviewer for fellow presenters and follow review deadlines.
We look forward to seeing you in Reno!
