Auburn University
Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering

Applications are invited for two tenure-track faculty positions
beginning January or August 2010.  Individuals are sought with
background and experience in one or more of the following areas:
applied
statistics, production and manufacturing systems, logistics and supply
chain management, information technologies, and operations research.
Individuals with specific interest and background in automotive
manufacturing are especially encouraged to apply. Responsibilities for
each position include teaching, service and conducting research.  An
earned doctoral degree from an accredited university in industrial
engineering or a related field and strong quantitative skills are
required.  Applicants to both open rank positions must demonstrate an
ability to develop a successful academic record including funded
research, teaching, and scholarly publications.  The candidates
selected
for these positions must be able to meet eligibility requirements for
work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to
begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of
employment;
excellent communication skills required.  Review of applications will
begin September 15th, 2009 and continue until the candidates are
selected and recommended for appointment.  To apply, send a letter of
