Colleagues:
Please forward this announcement for a 2- month full-time internship in a
foundry jobshop in Illinois (near Chicago) that seeks to implement
JobshopLean. It is made possible through the IBIF program funded by the
Defense Logistics Agency to improve the performance for the US Navy
suppliers.
ISE seniors and grads are preferred since competence in basic IE, especially
facility layout, process analysis and scheduling, is a must. In addition,
this intern would have to work with me to master the methods/tools of
JobshopLean and the PFAST software developed at OSU that are essential for
the high-mix low-volume conditions that this jobshop must deal with.
Employment terms are favorable. But, specific terms of hire and period of
performance will be discussed with each applicant, as appropriate, by the
sponsor agency.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Shahrukh Irani
