[Iefac.list] Call for Participation - Mayo Clinic Conference on Systems Engineering & Operations Research in Health Care

Mayo Clinic is pleased to announce its second annual Conference on
Systems Engineering & Operations Research in Health Care, to be held
August 17-18, 2009, in Rochester, Minnesota.  The organizing committee
invites abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the conference on
the following topics:

*	Models for health care delivery 
*	Models for disease progression & management 
*	Patient scheduling 
*	Workflow & staffing/resource optimization 
*	Cost reduction / revenue management 
*	Clinical outcomes improvement 
	

Work demonstrating application of SE/OR techniques in health care
settings is of particular interest, and is preferred over solely
technical or theoretical work.  The audience for this conference is a
mix of academics in the fields of systems engineering and operations
research, physicians and other health care providers, hospital
administrators and practice managers, and engineering and operations
research practitioners.

Authors interested in presenting at the conference should submit an
abstract of no more than 500 words to the organizing committee by
Friday, March 13, 2009.  Abstracts should be submitted via email to
seor at mayo.edu.  Please indicate your preference for a) oral presentation
only, b) oral or poster presentation, or c) poster presentation only.
