IEEE CONFERENCE ON AUTOMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING(IEEE CASE 2009)
August 22-25, 2009, Bangalore, India
Sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society

Papers are solicited in all areas related to the theoretical and the
application sides of automation. 
 
More specifically, this year’s CASE will evolve around the following
themes:
 
·         Foundation of Automation
·         Knowledge Sciences and Automation
·         Sensors and Sensor Networks
·         Automation in Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain
Management
·         Automation in Life Sciences and Health Care
·         Automation in Meso, Micro and Nano-Scale
 
We also solicit proposals for special sessions and for tutorials and
workshops on innovative applications of automation in the aforementioned
areas. Industry participation in all these events is also welcomed and
encouraged.
 
Some important submission dates:
 Submission of proposals for special sessions: February 1, 2009
Submission of regular papers: February 15, 2009 Submission of proposals
for tutorial and workshops: March 1, 2009 Submission of papers and
extended abstracts included in the accepted proposals for special
sessions: March 1, 2009

The venue of the conference is Hotel Grand Ashok, Bangalore. Bangalore
itself is a leading hub of India’s modern economy and a primary base for
many global companies, especially in the IT sector. It is also the home
for many of India’s premier research institutions, including the Indian
Institute of Science, and numerous research labs of the government and
global companies. Bangalore is distinguished by its salubrious weather
and by seamless blending of the old and the modern Indian cultures. It
