Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Faculty Position
The Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing
Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications
for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level.
We seek an outstanding individual working in emerging areas of
industrial engineering including but not limited to:
Network Science
Statistics of Large Scale Systems
Systems Theory
RFID networks
Complex Adaptive Systems
The successful candidate may have approached these emerging fields from
within traditional degree programs such as operations research, applied
mathematics, statistics, economics and behavioral science, as well as
the various branches of engineering. Nonetheless competency in one or
more emerging areas must be convincingly demonstrated. Applicants must
have a Ph.D. in engineering/science or a related field and have
excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates are
expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, establish and lead
an innovative research program, supervise graduate students, pursue
external funding opportunities, and provide service to the University.

The start date is Fall 2009. Interested applicants should submit
