Dear Colleagues,

 

The Society of Engineering and Management Systems (SEMS) of the Institute of
Industrial Engineers (IIE) is sponsoring the Engineering Management track of
the Industrial Engineering Research Conference (IERC) - the research portion
of the IIE Annual Conference 2009 that provides a rich forum for
practitioners and researchers to discuss topics of mutual interest.

 

As track chairs of the Engineering Management Track, we would like to
encourage you to organize a session, submit a research paper, or propose a
research presentation in traditional and emerging engineering management
areas, such as:

Knowledge Worker Performance 

Motivation of the Technical Workforce 

Team-based Work Systems 

Decision Analysis 

Process Improvement

You are invited to present your work at one or more sessions. Each session
will share 75 minutes among 3-4 presenters. Whereas the submission of full
length papers (6 pages - peer reviewed) for the conference proceedings is
strongly recommended, presentations without a paper are also acceptable. 

 

The important due dates for abstract/paper submission are: 

 

*        Abstract submissions:  November 15, 2008 

*        Notification:  December 15, 2008 

*        Submission of papers (optional):  January 30, 2009 

*        Notification of acceptance/declines of papers:  March 15, 2009 

*        Final paper due:  March 31, 2009 

*        Presenting author registration due:  April 3, 2009
