1- Industrial Engineering

Responsibilities
The Industrial Engineering program in the Bruce and Gloria Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University-San Marcos invites applications for a tenured or tenure track faculty position at the associate professor level starting in Fall 2008. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a program of funded research in her or his specialization in Industrial Engineering, produce a good record of scholarly publication, and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching and professional service. The candidate will also be expected to mentor junior faculty within the IE program and to exhibit a collaborative leadership style that facilitates cooperation and teamwork with the IE faculty, other faculty at Texas State, and faculty at other institutions.
Qualifications
Required:
* A doctorate in Industrial Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
* An established program of funded scholarly research in Industrial Engineering.
* A good record of scholarly publication.
* Proven ability as an effective teacher.
* Good oral and written English language skills.
Preferred:
* Research specialization in (1) Information Engineering (i.e. telecommunication networks, large-scale optimization, high performance computing, and data management), (2) Quality and Reliability Engineering, or (3) Logistics.
* Multiple engineering degrees.
* Professional certification.
* Field experience.
* Experience with the ABET accreditation process.
* Ability to work across multiple specialties within Industrial Engineering.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a program of funded research in Manufacturing Engineering, produce a good record of scholarly publication, and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching and professional service.
Qualifications
Required:
* A doctorate in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
* Good oral and written English language skills.
* For associate level, an established research record and demonstrated teaching and service accomplishments.
Preferred:
* Research specialization in sensors, actuators, instrumentation, sensor-machine tool/process interface, intelligent processes, or micro and nano-scale systems.
* Teaching interests including CIM, Controls and Instrumentation, Automation, and Robotics.
* Postdoctoral or industrial experience.
* Professional certification, field experience, and prior teaching experience.
