The Engineering Management Track of the Industrial Engineering Research
Conference 2008 (IERC 2008) is currently accepting abstracts for
presentations and papers. If you would like to submit an abstract for one
of our invited sessions (see below), please email me directly with your
proposed title and which potential invited session you are interested in
(see below). If you are interested in chairing an invited session, please
let me know and which topic you would like to propose. Contributed papers
will also be accepted and placed within an appropriate session in the Track.

Invited sessions for the Engr Mgt Track defined to date are:
* project management and product development
* organizational transformation
* managing process improvement projects
* engineering management research methods
* organizational performance measurement
* service operations
Additional sessions (invited and contributed) will be defined based on
abstract submissions.
Contributions may be of four types:
* presentations accompanied by full papers, (invited or contributed
session)
* presentations with abstracts, (invited or contributed session)
* tutorials (featured session, panel, or workshop format)
* poster presentations with abstracts.
Abstracts should be 200 or fewer words and are required for all types of
contributions; please specify the type of contribution when you submit. All
contributions for the conference will be peer-reviewed. If your
contribution is accepted: (a) you and/or a co-author must register for the
conference by April 4, 2008; (b) you and/or a co-author must attend and
present the paper/poster at the conference; and (c) we also ask that you be
willing to serve as a reviewer for other contributions during the review
process. The 2008 IIE Annual Conference theme is "How Businesses Take
Flight."
DEADLINES:
Submission of initial abstract: October 26, 2007
Notifications of acceptance/declines of abstracts sent: December 8, 2006
Submission of papers (this is optional, not a requirement): January 25, 2008
Notification of acceptance/declines of papers: March 14, 2008
Final paper due: March 28, 2008
Speaker registration deadline: April 4, 2008.
