Operations Research Track
IERC 2008 Annual Conference
May 17-21, 2008

The Operations Research (OR) Division of IIE is sponsoring a cluster of
sessions in general areas related to operations research. We seek
interesting and innovative applications of OR, as well as more
theoretical contributions relating to OR models in industrial
engineering. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Decision Making Under Uncertainty
Multiple-Objective/Multi-Criteria Optimization
Integer Programming and Applications
OR Education
OR in Homeland Security
OR in Infrastructure Systems
OR in Sports
Stochastic Models
OR in Healthcare or Medicine
Simulation-based Optimization
Non-traditional Methods (GAs, etc.)
On behalf of the OR Track Organizing Committee, we invite you to submit
papers/presentations or organize sessions in your area of expertise in
OR research area. To submit an abstract in the OR track, please go to
http://www.x-cd.com/iie08/Research/index.cfm and follow the instructions
for contributed author login. If you are interested in organizing a
session, please contact Prof. Grisselle Centeno (gcenteno at eng.usf.edu)
or Prof. David Coit (coit at rutgers.edu) by *October 15, 2007*. Each
session should include four (4) speakers, and the sessions are each 75
minutes in duration.
Each speaker has the option to submit a full-length paper for
consideration in the Conference proceedings. The paper formatting
requirements will be announced through the Conference web site
(http://www.iieannual.org

Presentations without a paper are also acceptable. Authors submitting a
full paper will be given acceptance priority and compete for the OR
Track Best Paper Award.
The important due dates for abstract/paper submission are:
* Submission of initial abstract (200 or fewer words): *October 26,
2007*
* Notification of acceptance/rejection of abstract by: *December 8,
2007*
* Submission of papers (optional): *January 25, 2008*
* Notification of acceptance/rejection of papers: *March 14, 2008*
* Final paper due: *March 28, 2008*
* Speaker registration deadline: *April 4, 2008*
