Betsy: can you please distribute the following to CBS members….

CBS members: for those of you whose research involves histology, please
consider publishing in the Journal of Histotechnology (JOH, see
www.nsh.orgfor details). I serve as the editor of this journal and
can assure you that
the review process is very swift (typically less than 2 or 3 months), there
is assistance available (a writing mentor who has served as a JOH reviewer)
for those of you who have not authored a manuscript before, and there are a
range of manuscripts accepted (technical notes, review papers, research
papers, special interest papers). Doctoral students – if your qualifying
exam contains a section which is a review of histology literature, please
consider packaging this part of your dissertation for submission to JOH.
For those who are interested, please check with your advisor, then let me
know, and I would be happy to help you navigate the review process. If you
are not sure if a particular topic would be suitable, I'm also happy to
discuss.

Dr. Burg
