[Bgs-list] Questioning the existence of plantation mentality in college & pro sports?

I don't think a single person on the call questioned a slave "mentality".
There's a slave mentality that dominates the large majority of the US
workforce. Everything is rooted in that mentality. It's how the US
maintains control over its citizens. Far too present among our brothers and
sisters but also present among other races. It's by design.
Too much effort to discount sports. It has its problems not unlike many
industries in the U.S. I can say this same thing about this sister. Does
she answer to anyone? Is she employed by anyone? Lol in the mirror. Each of
us. Answer that question. Some can answer it proudly but most have a ton of
work to do.
Pro/college sports is not the problem. It in itself has granted many
individuals the opportunity to come out of poverty much like education,
arts, etc. The problem lies with what folks do once they come out of those
areas. Sitting there trying to discount the sport, the art, or the
education or opportunity at any of those is laughable. So the question is
would you choose 40million dollar slave or 100k slave as a college
educator/administrator, or 50k slave as a middle manager at corporation X?
What's the solution? Just a bunch of folks shooting arrows at the next
person. Just my opinion.
