I was informed a few hours ago that a custodian employed at Clemson is in need of emergency financial assistance of $1,800 to avoid eviction one week from today, on Thursday, November 15, 2018, from the apartment his family is renting. He is the sole breadwinner for his family and has fallen behind in rent payments. His wife in unable to work because she is disabled; South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs has denied her applications for benefits.

The custodian is also seeking emergency financial assistance through local agencies such as Clemson Community Care.



To avoid eviction for this family, the total amount of $1,800 must be turned in to the apartment leasing office by end of business day on Wednesday, November 14.
