Curtis,

 

Congratulations on your retirement decision!  It is one that I feel certain
you will not regret, because you have a grounded and rich life outside of
the academy.  I think that, as I learned and have tried to share, you will
come to deeply cherish the fact that all that constitutes work is now
optional. As you also have heard me say (boast?): "I don't look for work; if
work finds me, I do it." Think on it. If I can present my "Graceful
Retirement" seminar (one on one) for you, please let me know. 

 

Meanwhile, welcome to the sidelines where selecting among options really is
all it's cracked up to be!

Hey all.  This has been a wonderful train ride but my stop is coming up.
Yep, I have decided to retire as of Dec. 15th.  My plans are to continue
working on a part time basis as long as the admin. hires me.  I have seen a
few highs and many lows since coming here in 1989.  In spite of it all, we
have managed to weather the storm.  My prayer is that we continue to do the
same in the face of the current situation.  God bless.
