Good Afternoon,

I am with The Office of Standards and Learning at the South Carolina Department of Education and we are creating a Total Solar Eclipse webpage on our agency's website. This webpage will include a resource guide for parents and teachers of the events and educational resources throughout the state surrounding this phenomena.

We aim to provide exposure of what is being done in our great state of South Carolina for students and education overall.  Events will be highlighted alongside state standards and possible instructional units, as they align with this occurrence in addition to safety guidelines and procedures from NASA.

Would the Melton Observatory or the Physics Department at USC be interested in having any events related to the solar eclipse considered for display on our agency's website? If so, prepare a short description of the events that includes your organization, location, events or initiatives you are leading and any links that correspond to your events. Email this information to me and we will review this information as we consider postings for the Total Solar Eclipse webpage.
