This month, we welcome panelists Marty Osborn, Capers Easterby, and Robert Cox.

About Robert Cox:

Robert Cox is the President & Managing Partner of Anesthesia Resources which is an anesthesia billing, consulting and practice management firm.

For more than 25 years, Mr. Cox has held positions of CEO, Managing Partner, VP of Technology & Finance and Group Practice Administrator. Robert has developed an expertise for creating custom financial strategies for physician group practices that lead to improved financial performance, year over year.

He has successfully worked with over 1200 anesthesia & pain management professionals in his 26 years of health care management. Robert is passionate about his client's success.

Mr. Cox is a frequent speaker and adviser to anesthesia and pain management organizations, vendor organizations, payer advisory boards, government organizations, health care graduate programs and health system boards.

His affable nature makes him a popular presenter at national meetings and he enjoys constant demand as a adjunct faculty speaker.

Robert has published  numerous papers in advancement of the anesthesia & pain management profession and actively blogs on current healthcare practice issues. He is currently engaged in the creation of his new book Collective Wisdom.



About Capers Easterby:

Capers Easterby has over 20 years' experience financing and managing private growth companies.

Mr. Easterby is Owner/President of MedFirst Staffing, LLC, a Joint Commission Certified provider of clinical staffing services to medical facilities and home health clients throughout South Carolina. As President, Mr. Easterby has full profit and loss responsibility for MedFirst. He is also responsible for the Company's strategic planning, financial management, and new business development. Since its founding in 2003, MedFirst has grown its revenue and profits by approximately 800%.

>From 1990 to 2003, Mr. Easterby managed three venture capital partnerships that provided approximately $60 million of equity and mezzanine financing to growth oriented private companies for start-up, expansion, management buyouts, and industry consolidations.

Mr. Easterby holds a BS in Industrial Management from Clemson University and an MBA from Goizeuta Business School, Emory University.



About Marty Osborn:

As a partner at Advoco, Marty manages Advoco's technology practice and is responsible for all business development. He brings with him a deep experience and understanding of the software industry. He is very aware of the challenges faced by organizations today in the ever-increasing pursuit to drive efficiency to bottom-line performance. Osborn's focus at Advoco is to ensure the success of client initiatives - to increase organizational performance through the use of enterprise business applications. Specifically, the technology team led by Osborn specializes in:
*         complex, enterprise-application integrations
*         realignment of existing technical solutions to meet changing business-process requirements
*         analytical data modeling to increase data-driven decisions
*         mobility solutions to streamline operations

Prior to joining Advoco, Marty was employed by Infor as the senior director of industry product marketing for the enterprise asset management (EAM) division. Working very closely with the executive team, Osborn was selected to be the primary liaison with industry analysts and became the company spokesperson for the EAM product strategy and vision. Osborn also led the development of the company's asset performance management strategy and the technology underpinnings supporting it. Additional positions at the company included vice president of product management and management of the sales engineer group. In these roles, Osborn was responsible for setting the strategic direction for the company's flagship product and focused on product differentiation, customer value, and competitive analysis.

Early in his career, Marty served as director of sales and marketing for Fluor Daniel's ASP product, TabWare OnLine, as well as serving as partner and vice president of sales and marketing with BYTE Systems. Osborn holds a bachelor's degree from Clemson University.
