[MBA-PT-Students] Information Session: MBA Community Partnership Initiative with Greenville Drive

Dear Tigers,



I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break.  On behalf of the MBA Student
Association, I am writing to invite everyone to attend the first
information session for a new community partnership initiative that we are
developing with the Greenville Drive.  To begin this initiative, we are
looking for “Clemson MBA Community Mentors” to assist with our inaugural
partnership campaign.  This inaugural campaign will be focused toward
assisting United Ministries, a local organization that provides life
changing opportunities and advocacy for people in our community who lack
education or employment skills.



The mission of United Ministries includes the following:

·     Work the homeless men and women to meet basic human needs with the
goal of getting them on the right track for long-term housing;

·     Provide financial assistance to help people pay their rent or
utilities so they can continue to be housed and stable; sometimes, it’s as
simple as a providing a bag of groceries to get someone back on their feet;

·     Offer adult education for people working toward their GED;

·     Help people obtain jobs; and

·     Educate communities about the needs and realities of people living in
poverty.

We are looking to have maximum participation from YOU, our student body.  If
you are available to attend this informational session, please RSVP to
Jamie Patterson (jpatte4 at clemson.edu) by Wednesday, March 28th so that we
will know how much food to provide for this event. We will be serving a
