New ONLINE Elective for Summer II

Social Media Marketing (3 credit hours) MBA 8990, Section 006

An online self-paced study (text book/quizzes and case reflection) of Social Media Marketing in large, mid, small and startup businesses.
The course will cover basic and advanced terms, concepts, theories, strategies, and tools of today’s disruptive social media landscape from a converged technology infused marketing perspective.  The class will also include practical business applications, creating capabilities for organizational learning/development and delivery of Return On Investment, as well as social media’s integrated role with social listening, Customer Relationship Management, Gamification, Big Data, and mobile marketing.

Thursday 6:00-8:45pm
Discusses current techniques and strategies in the analysis of
various investment alternatives. Includes portfolio
management with an introduction to options and
futures markets. Students are expected to have
completed coursework in principles of accounting
and to have demonstrated proficiency in basic
finance before enrolling in this course.

Adobe Creative Cloud now available to students

Clemson students are now licensed for the complete Adobe Creative Cloud - a suite of software that includes titles focused around photography, video, audio and design.  This license agreement includes Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premier Pro, and many more. Position Summary The Business Development Director - Process & Industrial, is responsible for growing business through strategic alliances and new customer development to increase revenue. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and actively maintain strong relationships throughout the customer organization, from the user level up to and including Vice Presidents and/or Executive Officers at both the site and Corporate Office. Develop and actively maintain relationships with key customer vendors, and identify potential strategic partners. Gain a complete and thorough understanding of the customer's Business Goals, Objectives, and 3-year plan for major projects. Market and sell Engineering Services, Construction / Project Management, and Maintenance Contracting Services to customers. Formulate the account plan &strategy to optimize success and maximize revenue. Determine the proposal strategy and support proposal preparation for all work bid to customers. Lead negotiation responsibilities for all customer contracts. Support Process & Industrial site and Corporate ECM operations, as required, to remove roadblocks in order to optimize success, minimize non-performance issues, manage conflicts, and maximize contract profitability. Understand and exploit weaknesses of competitors to secure the maximum amount of work for ECM. Maintain an active and current database of key client contacts, company information, press releases, personal information and document significant client meeting notes and Business Development activity.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong ability to influence and build relationships. Ability to clearly and concisely convey technical, financial, and contractual information, to all levels of the organization, internally and externally, orally, via written word and through presentations. Solid overall knowledge of the Process & Industrial Market and ability to close business in the areas of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance. Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast pace environment. Ability to work as an individual contributor in a team environment. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in business or related field. 9-12 years of progressive sales/Business Development experience. Long cycle sales experience that carried a sales goal of at least $10 Million/year.
