Dear Students,

Please see below from Jan Lay regarding the free trial version of each Adobe program for the upcoming workshops.  Please only download one at a time, otherwise they expire in one month.

Hi Jamie...this is for your students:

Repeating the Subject Line:  Please only download one at a time, otherwise everything expires in a month.

Also:  The process below can take quite a bit of time, especially if something messes up, and that is not uncommon.  Please try to have this downloaded the day before class.  Otherwise, you might end up 45 minutes to an hour behind.  :(


1.       You will need an Adobe ID to actually run these programs so please create one of those first

2.       AFTER you have created your ID, go to adobe.com and go to products:  www.adobe.com/products/catalog.html<http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog.html>

3.       Select Photoshop CC; select "Try"

4.       This will launch the Terms of Use...accept these

5.       Then a Download button will appear:

6.       When your download finishes, run the files.  At some point, you will be back on the Adobe site to really finish.

7.       Once you think the program is on your computer, try to open it and do something.

8.       SOMETIMES, people get stuck again at this point.  If that happens to you, take a screen shot of it (and any messages you get) and send them to me at jlay at clemson.edu<mailto:jlay at clemson.edu>

We have just negotiated a site license for the Adobe Creative Suite Cloud but it will not be available till the Fall.  Our on campus training students use the programs in my lab so purchasing the program to use it isn't required.  Off campus is a different story.  Once we get the site license, that will change but for now most off campus training occurs on trial versions.  Not a great solution, but at least it works.
