CLASSROOM SIZES
We are aware that many of the classrooms that have been assigned are not the right size for the number of students in the class. We will be reworking the classroom assignments tomorrow to make adjustments and will have new room assignments posted when you arrive for class next week. The two tiered classrooms (601 & 603) will be finished by Monday which will alleviate 90% of the problems. Thank you for being patient as we adjust to our new space.


ELEVATORS
Please note that it can take up to 10 seconds for the elevator control screen to populate the floor numbers. Scanning the fob multiple times trips up the system so please only scan once. If you hear a beep it has scanned and is searching the database to provide you the appropriate screen for your access level. During rush periods if you recognize others waiting who are going to the same floor try to have one person scan and the whole group enter together – this will cut down on the number of scans and make the entire process a little faster.


WIRED NETWORK ACCESS
All of the wall jacks for internet/Ethernet access are now live so feel free to plug in and use them if you need to. You will find them located throughout the building.


PAWPRINTS & PRINT LAB
CCIT is working hard to complete the code required to get the print lab up and running. We anticipate it will be ready no later than Monday and possibly as soon as Friday. We will send an announcement notifying you when it is ready to use.


PARKING PASSES – TESTING AND PAYMENT
If you have a parking pass and have not yet paid for parking, it will stop working on 1/10/14. Please go to https://secure.touchnet.net/C20569_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=41  to pay your bill if you want to continue using the pass. THE $25 INITIAL FEE WHEN YOU FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION IS NOT YOUR PAYMENT – THAT WAS TO COVER THE PASS ITSELF. YOU MUST PAY THE SEMESTER PARKING FEES TO CONTINUE TO USE THE PARKING PASS.

TESTING- if you have tried to test a parking pass by walking up to the scanner and it failed it does not mean the pass is inactive. The scanner only reads when someone approaches it in a vehicle. Please try again from your car and if it still doesn’t work (and you have paid the fee) let us know.
