612 Computer Lab and Software Availability

The PawPrints lab in Room 612 is now up and running with two desktop systems. Both of these computer systems are now running SPSS version 22, which is a statistical program that many of you will use in your course curricula. Other site-licensed software may be requested for install on these machines by emailing ITHELP at clemson.edu<mailto:ITHELP at clemson.edu> (please be sure to copy Austin Sanderson at JSANDE3 at clemson.edu<mailto:JSANDE3 at clemson.edu>). Each request will be processed based on computing limitations, licensure, and demand. Course Scheduling

Registration for the Fall 2014 semester will open on Monday, March 31.  Once the fall schedule is complete, we will be sending it out to you in mid March so you will have some time for planning before registration opens. Global Water Day Workshop- April 22
Please join us on April 22 at 12:30pm to hear news about the challenges and opportunities from an investment management professional for The Calvert Global Water Fund. Calvert Investments and its sub-advisor Kleinwort Benson Investors International (KBII) bring a unique combination of strengths to water sector investing. Based in Dublin, Ireland, KBII has been at the forefront of investing in water-related companies since 2000 and its dedicated Eco-Funds.  The KBII portfolio team scours the water sector to identify the companies that they believe are market leaders with strong fundamentals, solid long-term prospects, proven technologies, and established market positions. These companies must also meet Calvert's exacting sustainability and human rights criteria related to water.

Director of Sales- Hospice Compassus
Job description:

The Director of Sales will directly lead the Hospice Care Consultants located Duncan and Gaffney, SC locations for Hospice Compassus.



The Director of Sales is responsible for development of the hospice program through direct community contacts for the purpose of educating healthcare providers as well as the general public about the hospice program. Additionally, the Director of Sales serves to coordinate the marketing team's participation and execution of the program's strategic plan, serves as a resource for staff. This individual also monitors the educational needs of the marketing team to enhance their professional development and   provides training and assists with contracting, when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Provides accurate information regarding hospice services in response to inquiries by healthcare providers and general public.
·         In concert with the Executive Director and the Regional VP of Sales, prepares a goal directed development plan for the purpose of educating health care providers and the general public about the hospice program.
·         Provides support and marketing consultation to hospice care consultants and program personnel
·         Maintains current data on market area, competitors, and marketing strategies; Participates in weekly development meetings; completes and submits, as required, all activity reports and documentation.
·         Maintains an organized approach to territory management;  Prepares and conducts calls and presentations to potential referral sources; Participates in sales forecasting, strategic planning and the analysis for all assigned program territories in conjunction with the hospice agency business plan.
·         Trains and mentors other Hospice Care Consultants as required by the Executive Director or Regional VP of Sales.
·         Coordinates with clinical management staff in planning in-services, presentations, and in addressing issues with referral sources.
·         Initiates and coordinates contract negotiations with facilities, insurance companies, and managed care organizations.
·         Participates in community and organizational programs as requested to promote professional growth and understanding of hospice care.
·         Participates in the quality and performance improvement process of the hospice program.
Desired Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
·         Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or health related field preferred.
·         One to two years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in health care marketing preferred.
·         Demonstrated proficiency in skills related to public relations and marketing.
·         Ability to work independently in the management of assigned responsibilities.
·         Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Donation Drive for March: Support the Troops with Operation Gratitude
This month the MBA Student Association will be collecting donations to make care packages to Support the Troops through Operation Gratitude. Please bring in any unopened toiletry items, packaged snacks/candy, and stationary or letter writing materials to the donation box in the 6th floor student lounge. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
For the third year in a row, Clemson MBA is the Presenting Sponsor for Downtown Alive, the weekly free music event held Thursday nights on Main Street in front of the Hyatt. Each Thursday from 5:30 – 8:30 PM we have a tent set up inside the event where we hand out promotional items and talk to the guests about the MBA program. The event begins March 20th and will run every week through August 28th.

We are looking for volunteers to staff the booth during the 2014 season. It is more fun if you work in teams of two. The tent and table are already set up and all you have to do is bring the wheeled cart full of brochures and koozies and set them up on the table, then be available to hand them out/answer questions if needed. You will be provided with free drink tickets for the evening and everything you need to set up the display.
