[MBA-FT-Students] Excel Workshop- FRIDAY!

Dear Students,

This is a friendly reminder that the Excel Workshops will be taking place at Clemson at the Falls on Friday.  Please sign up ASAP using the links below.  You have two options:  Beginner and Advanced.  Please see additional information below as well as instructions on upgrading to the correct version of software.

Friday, November 1

Beginner Excel
Classroom 2A

If students who have Windows have an older version of MS Office (2007) and would like to upgrade to MS Office 2010, here is what they should do:


1.       Go to Start, Control Panel, Programs and uninstall any old MS Office products.

2.       Restart the computer to make sure everything is gone.

3.       Go to a place with an Ethernet connection (fast connection, this is large) and plug in an Ethernet cable.

4.       Open any browser and go to http://download.clemson.edu - you'll see an option "Microsoft Office" - click on that - then click on Office 2010.  Be very patient - it will take a while!!!

If students have Mac computers that do not have a dual boot Windows, they can also get that for free.  It definitely requires and Ethernet connection + a power cord (even with a full battery) and a lot of patience.

1.       Go to : http://www.clemson.edu/ccit/mac_software and select the Windows 7 option

2.       When it is finished, they can boot into Windows and install Office 2010 per the instructions above
