Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking 1st-year MBAs for our Personal Insurance Summer Associate Program.



The 10-12 week summer internship provide in-depth exposure to our Personal Lines business, access to senior leadership and the opportunity to be an integral part of our continued growth.  Each summer assignment is designed to meet a critical business need and an opportunity to make an immediate impact.



Upon successful completion of the internship, summer associates will be invited into the Field Management Development Program (FMDP).  The 18-month competitive program provides immediate operations responsibility through two 9-month field-based assignments in Claims and Field Sales & Service.  Upon completion of the FMDP, participants are equipped to manage a sales or claims team in a field office.

Personal Insurance Summer Associate (Field Management Development Program)

Experience a challenging assignment with Liberty Mutual's Personal Insurance as a platform to launch your post-graduate career in the Field Management Development Program.  You'll be an integral part of a team, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the success of critical assignments with a strong emphasis in field operations.



Equally important, you'll gain exposure to our products and services through interaction with senior management and formal training sessions.



Assignments

Assignments are aligned with critical business needs and are designed to provide you with the opportunity to combine your strategic thinking, core academic knowledge and business acumen.



Past assignments have included:

*         Sales & Service Recognition Program:  Conducted a thorough and comprehensive inventory and analysis of the existing program, identified methods to optimize and improve the program

*         Email Marketing and Distribution Systems:  Developed an end-to-end testing process to reduce email distribution defects, to eliminate redundancy and to improve the customer experience.

*         Sales Training Initiative:  Developed metrics that identified managers across the US who demonstrated exceptional success training new sales representatives; incorporated field observations, interviews and data analysis to create best practices for sales organization.



We seek candidates who can make an immediate impact on our business who are interested in a general management career path with a passion to implement change and manage teams that are focused on operational effectiveness.



Candidate Profile

Competitive candidates will have the following:

*         One year toward completion of an MBA or related Graduate Degree

*         A competitive GPA

*         Three to five years relevant business experience

*         Willingness to travel to field locations (as required for assignment)

*         Demonstrated superior business judgment; effective analytic and integrative thinking; strong leadership skills, including coaching and development; effective communication skills

*         Permanent US work authorization
